Creative person.

Americans believe that creativity is important but in fact, I'm not a creative person. Whenever I take classes at Fullerton College, I notice how important creativity in USA. I usally face a lot of problems because of a lack of cretivity. For instance, I had a problem with coming up ideas for my group project in the physics class. I needed to think of some specific and certain real life physical problems that I can analyze. However, coming up solutions for the problems was not easy at all to me. The solutions had to be inovative ideas. Only things that I could think of were too obvious ideas that already exist. All instructors emphasis innovative ideas.. hm...... I don't have any ideas.... The article that I read in ENGLISH class will work???

  1. Great post, Jung. I think you're right that creativity and innovative thinking are prized in American education. Your perspective, though, shows that those aren't always given the same weight in other cultures. I love the cartoon, too. It shows that maybe there's some hypocracy or at least contradiction with our emphasis on creativity.
